The perfect speaker for mid- to large-sized home theaters and critical listening rooms, the 8300-SE/R features three 8-inch aluminum cone subwoofers, two 6?-inch fixed phase plug aluminum cone woofers, and a 1-inch soft dome liquid-cooled Scanspeak silk dome tweeter. With its reference-level up?grades, and extensive internal bracing to eliminate standing waves and cabinet resonance, the 8300-SE/R provides increased power handling and improved resolution, resulting in superior sonic clarity. The 8300-SE/R can be bi-amplified through the use of its dual large 5-way binding posts. Separately amplifying the three subwoofers on each speaker with a sub?woofer amplifier like the SA-400 can effectively eliminate the need for a separate subwoofer. Shown here in macassar ebony veneer, this model is only avail?able in custom veneers.*
